New Zealand rabbits have multiple ARBA recognized colors: Black, Blue, Broken (Black/Blue/Red), Red, and White.  There are also non-recognized colors like Black Gold Steel Tips (GST) and Chestnut.  The standard weight for an adult is 9-12 lbs.  They have a commercial body type..

American rabbits are a large rabbit (9-12 lb adults) with a mandolin or semi-arch body type. They currently have 2 recognized colors that can be shown in an ARBA Show: Blue and White.  There are also Black American rabbits that breeders are trying to get recognized as a new variety.  It is currently listed as a threatedened breed on the Conservancy list (as of 1/2/2026).

TAMUK rabbits are a composite breed that originates from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  They are known to be heat tolerant.  The typical weight for an adult is 8-12 lbs.  They do not have a standard color.  They are not recognized by ARBA.
